Alright, I have already been slacking…. but I am sitting here testing my students and I have nothing else to do, so I am going to blog away and tell you a little more about me and my life.
I am married to a usually wonderful man, John. We have three kids altogether: Hunter, Katherine, and Thomas, ages 11, 10, and 5. (Hunter will be 11 at the end of this month) Hunter is mine, and Katherine and Thomas are John’s. Yes, the yours, mine, and working on ours. We have been married for 5 years in May and still having a good time. All three kids live with us, and even though our lives are crazy, we would not trade it for anything.
John and I both teach at the local community college here in town. We both teach Developmental Mathematics. This is actually where we met. It is hard sometimes working with your spouse and living with your spouse. He briefly got a job in another department, and we rarely saw each other during the day….did not work out though, we actually missed each other too much. Since I am full-time and he is part-time, he gets to leave earlier, and take care of the kiddos after school and get dinner ready. Yes, I was lucky enough to find a man who cooks. I try to cook, but he gets upset when I pull our recipes…He is a wing it kind of cook. I need instructions and visual aids.
I am a typical football, baseball, soccer, cheer, and basketball mom…we always have some sort of game or practice to be getting to during the week. Our kids are active, and we enjoy watching them thrive in whatever it is they decide to do. Hunter is currently in basketball, a great defensive player, just needs to learn to shoot more…. Katherine cheers for his team, and two others, she is sure coming into her Divaness….Thomas is currently the soccer player, I worry that he will tackle someone, after watching a season of football.
I love to do crafts, but I have to be in the mood. Currently I am scrapbooking and card making. I have been pushed away from stamping, my frustration gets the best of me when the stamp does not work all the way through. My husband says, I have so much patience for people, and none at all for inanimate objects. (He is the opposite) Ooh, and it is never user error….oh no.
Right now, I am working on my doctoral studies degree in Education. In the final stages or writing, as you can see with my lack of blogs, I can never find the time to write a daily synopsis, let alone a 70 page document. I am trying this semester to block Fridays, as writing days…I will keep you posted.
I guess that about sums it up. I am going to try to take a picture everyday and events and share it on here. Hopefully this will help me keep a journal of my thoughts of the days, and give me something to share with my kids later.
